Creative Process
Within the department, Office of Public Engagement staff work together to compile copy, photos, and supporting material for each issue. Content consists of park and facility features, park patron stories, volunteer opportunities and spotlights, among other topics. Once collected, the content is laid out and designed by the graphic designer and graphic design intern. The draft then undergoes rounds of reviews and editing until final approval. The design of the magazine is intended to display information in a clear, easy-to-read style, reinforce the department's brand, and radiate both fun and professionalism.

Spring/Summer 2020
Immediately following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, this issue provided the public with critical information about the status of the department’s parks and recreation facilities, as well as ways to recreate safely during the Spring and Summer seasons. With indoor venues becoming limited, parks and outdoor spaces became choice locations to help county residents relax and unwind for the benefit of their mental and physical wellness.
At a time when Palm Beach County parks and beaches were in high demand, this issue featured the many ways beaches can be enjoyed as well as articles on beach safety. It showcases staff efforts in response to the pandemic, and invited readers to participate in Virtual Recreation opportunities.
To maximize public safety during the pandemic, this magazine issue was made into a digital edition format only.

Autumn 2020
This issue features ways to connect with nature and opportunities for keeping physically active in our parks. In this issue, the park system's exercise courses are listed along with their locations. The feature article showcases Okeeheelee Park, one of our largest and most popular parks. The results of our popular National Photography Month photo contest is also highlighted in the magazine.
This issue was also published in digital format only.

Winter 2021
In this issue, we feature a spectrum of trail types in the Palm Beach County park system, highlighting equestrian trails through a use of a cover photo that was taken by a park patron. Among the articles are an introduction to a brand new park, a journey through the history of a pioneer home, COVID-19-related playground safety information, and details about upcoming park construction projects. Social media snippets share some of the love patrons express toward our parks, and readers can meet a species of flightless Grasshoppers commonly encountered in South Florida.

Spring/Summer 2021
As the warmer temperatures return, this magazine issue explores the options for recreation and play at Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park, a massive park in southern Palm Beach County. Readers can learn about rip currents, the impact of recent volunteer events, and are introduced to the unique Mimosa plant. The history of the well-known and well-loved Peanut Island is explored, and retired TV News reporter Chuck Weber shares his bird-watching adventures in a Power of Parks article.
